The South Bay

The surf has been pretty good starting last week and it's been really clear towards the end of the day down by the beach. So I jumped in my car last Thursday and started at El Porto in Manhattan Beach and worked my way back down to Redondo Breakwall to get some sunset surf shots.

El Porto Surf Session

Went out this morning to El Porto to go shoot some surfing. There is a WNW-NW groundswell with a small SSW Southern Hemi swell mixed in that made for 3-5 foot waves this morning. It was clear out, but a little cloudy so the sun wasn't giving me the best lighting conditions. Still beats sitting in the office behind a computer.
It was a little cloudy but super clear. You can easily see Malibu in the background.

Wednesday Morning Surf

Was out shooting surf shots this morning down in Torrance Beach. Beginning of a new swell that's supposed to keep getting bigger up until Friday. Will be shooting more tomorrow morning as well as Friday.

Surf Photoshoot

The weather was great this morning. The skies were clear and the surf was still hanging around. So after I dropped off my daughter at school and I headed out to meet some of my friends surfing down over in Torrance. We shot there for a couple of hours and then moved down to El Segundo to see if it was any better. It wasn't but there were a few sets coming in. So I spent the morning doing that before I finally ended up in the office around noon.

Bobby Martinez Wins Teahupoo Contest

Bobby Martinez won the Teahupoo Surf contest today edging out Taj Burrow.  Hopefully I did better on my Fantasy Surfer to get me out of the bottom of the pack!

LUKE STEDMAN SURFING

This is Luke Stedman from Australia surfing at Off The Wall on the North Shore.  I travel to the North Shore on Oahu, Hawaii to shoot the Body Glove team riders around Nov and Dec during the Triple Crown.  I've been lucky enough to do that for the past 8 years or so.  Being on the North Shore is great and the people there are great too. If you are ever on the North Shore be sure to stop in at Ted's bakery.  Mahalo.
